Redeeming Single and Multiple Gift Cards

You can redeem up to five gift cards per customer with your credit card processor. To check the balance of a gift card, press [F4] or see Balance Inquiry for Gift Cards section in the Manual Credit Card Options article.

To redeem gift cards, use the following steps:

  1. Enter the combined amount of all the gift cards in the Gift Card field of the Cashier Screen or press [F3] to populate the Gift Card field with the exact amount to be paid on the invoice.

  1. You receive the Is This Correct? prompt. Type Y.

Note: If the credit card reader is in use, the following PopUp will appear on the Cashier Screen.

Note: When the bay mentioned has completed the credit card transaction, the credit card reader will be available for processing. Press any key to return to the Cashier Screen. Proceed with step #2 above.
  1. You receive the Gift Card Processing Popup.

Note: You can exit out of this popup at any time by pressing [Esc] [Esc] or typing 0 in the Dollar Amount field.
  1. Enter the amount of the first card in the Card #1 field and press [Enter].
  2. You receive the Swipe Gift Card Now prompt.
  3. If you are using multiple gift cards and have a remaining balance, after swiping the first card, you receive the Card #2 field on the Gift Card Processing screen. It defaults to the remaining amount. Repeat Steps 4-5.

  1. One of the following may occur:
  • If the gift card has insufficient funds or is otherwise declined, you receive the following warning:

  • If the remaining balance of the card is more than 0.00, press [Enter]. You will be prompted to swipe the card again.
  • If the remaining balance is 0.00, you receive the Manual Gift Card (Y/N) option.
