Debian OS and Security Level Updates 

  • ISI has updated the Debian operating system to include the latest security and web browser patches available at the time of this release.    

 

POS Enhancements included in the last release 

  • New Menu option 1-1-8-8 Recover Workorder – Allows customers to recover a workorder if it gets stuck in a B# status.  
  • New Menu option 4-7-7 Restart Services – Allows customers to restart the ESM Service without the need to reboot the computer if the ESM service becomes unresponsive.  
  • A new LubeSoft Express shortcut was added to user desktops to ease future transitions to LubeSoft Express.  

  

Ubuntu “Trusty” Linux  

Shops running on the Ubuntu “Trusty” Operating System are no longer receiving important security and POS enhancements or ESM updates. If any of your shops are still running on the Trusty Operating System, our Sales team will be the best resource to answer questions about your options. There is a free upgrade path for customers whose hardware meets the specifications below:  

Below are recommended equipment specifications for the 64-bit Debian OS.  

  • Server: i7 with 32GB of RAM  
  • Thin Clients: any currently installed and operating Zotac thin client
