Setting Up General Ledger Accounts

The General Ledger account numbers are used to validate the account numbers entered in other parts of the system (for example, when entering paid-ins and paid-outs). If your store or central office does not use an accounting system, you do not have to fill in these screens.

  1. On the Main Menu, select Lubrication Menu.
  2. Select Lubrication Setup Menu (6).
  3. Select Lubrication Basic Setup Menu (1).
  4. Select Set Up General Ledger Accounts (4) to receive the following screen.

  1. If you are creating a new record, make sure you are in Add Mode (see screen above). If you are changing information in an existing record, press [F2] to change to Edit Mode.
  2. Fill in the following fields:

Account Number

Type the number of the account you are setting up. Unless you interface with Solomon accounting products, your account number is in the format nnnn.nn (where n represents a number). For example, 1011.00.

Note: The account number format for Solomon is nnnnnn.00. For example, 100011.00.

Description

Fill in a brief description (up to 30 characters) of the account.

  1. To save the account number, press [F4].
  2. Do one of the following:
  • Add another account number.
  • To return to the Lubrication Basic Setup Menu, press [Esc] [Esc].
