The Marketing module gives you the tools you need to reach and keep as many customers as possible. The comprehensive and easy-to-use Marketing module helps you target a specific audience when you send out promotional mailings, which results in a strong foundation of customers. The module is based on customer vehicle service history and is available in both the LubeSoft® and O.I.L.™ systems for single or multi-store operations. Some highlights of the Marketing module are listed below.

  • Allows you to target a specific group of customers each time you build your postcards. You are able to select by services, ZIP/postal code ranges and coupons used. You can even collect data at the cashier station and use it to market to a specific gender, an age range, new customers or according to your own criteria.
  • Allows you to select records according to the year, make and model of a vehicle.
  • Gives you the choice to use the Basic Marketing options or to take advantage of the increased flexibility of the Advanced Postcard Setup options.
  • Gives you complete control of what is printed on the postcards. If your printer has the ability, you can print postal bar codes with the addresses, as well as turn on an option to bold certain words for emphasis.
  • Allows you to set up a pre-designed format for automatic printing on a repeat basis. At center opening, you are reminded that postcards should be printed that day. If postcards are not printed during that day, a second reminder displays during the End of Day process.
  • Prints many sizes of postcards, from one inch labels to full-page letters.
  • Prints without interrupting daily invoice processing. Marketing can run while your store is open without affecting your invoice processing.
  • Provides reports and the data export option so you can analyze your customer base.
  • Offers you a complete package to market to your fleets. You can print postcards for specific fleets or fleet types. You can also include fleets in your mailing, exclude fleets from your mailing or print postcards for fleets only.
  • Allows you to select a service code to print reminders only for those customers who need the specified service (such as a full service every 90 days, or a radiator flush every year). This is called service-code driven.
  • Offers the ability to create accelerated reminders, which are designed for customers who consistently reach the service mileage in less time than the service interval. These can be set manually or you can allow the computer to calculate the driving patterns of the customer on the basis of estimated mileage.

The Marketing Menu is arranged so the options you use most often are listed first. Before you use the marketing features, you must set up both the marketing controls and postcards. See the article Using the Marketing Setup Menu for more information.

The Set Up Postcard Contents option contains the features you need most in your marketing. Sometimes, you may want increased flexibility to target a more specific group of customers. In this kind of situation, you may want to use the advanced postcard setup feature. If you have set up a postcard on the advanced screens, you have several options on the screens in this menu that are not necessary for basic postcards. See the article Setting Up Postcard Contents – Advanced for more information.

On the Main Menu, select Marketing Menu to receive the following screen. The screen shown below is for marketing on your LubeSoft system. The same menu options appear if you use marketing on your O.I.L. Central office system.
