Lubesoft Classic Printer Troubleshooting

Overview

This document covers basic troubleshooting steps to restore normal printer functions. If your shop is not printing invoices, reports, or window stickers, please check the following:

Cancel a Scheduled Print Job

  1. Access “Cancel a Scheduled Print Job” (menu 4-7-3).
  2. Pending/stuck print jobs may be listed.
  3. In some cases, a large number of print jobs can be in a pending state and listed on this screen. If a printer is offline, print jobs will be held in the print queue and will not print. These print jobs can be cleared one by one by number in the first column, or all can be cancelled by entering [A].

Resetting the Printer Scheduler

If a printer is offline (not printing), the system may set the printer to a disabled state.

  1. To re-enable printers, access “Reset Printer Scheduler” (menu 4-7-2).
  2. Test the printer by sending a print job to the previously offline printer.
  3. If the printer does not print your test, there may be a fault in the network connection, or the network settings are not correct. Check your network cable connections as well as the printer’s network IP address.

Toner or Drum Replacement

Laser printers need to periodically have toner and drum cartridges replaced. Most laser printers will display an alert on the printer display noting which needs to be replaced. After replacing the toner or drum, your printer may need to have the counters reset. Instructions can be found online for your specific printer model and alert.

Sticker Printer Sticker or Ribbon Replacement

Thermal sticker printers need to periodically have the printer ribbon and stickers replaced. ISI has posted videos in the “ISI Users Guide”, available from the LubeSoft desktop at your store, or by clicking on this link (https://docs.isicentral.com/lubesoft/docs/godex-sticker-printer-training-video/).
