Most inventory items (including wildcards) can be deleted; however, fourteen basic inventory items on your system are an integral part of LubeSoft. The following items were set up on your system before you received it and cannot be deleted: AF, AFR, OF, OFR, OIL, OILR, BR, BRR, FF, FFR, CAF, CAFR, PCV, and PCVR.
Use the following steps to delete an inventory item:

If you delete an inventory item, all inventory history related to the item will not be available after you delete the item. |
- On the Main Menu, select Lubrication Menu.
- Select Inventory Menu (7).
- Select Activity Menu (1).
- Select Set Up Inventory Items (2).
- If you are prompted for your employee password, type it and press [Enter]. Your employee ID is stored with each added and changed record.
- Verify the screen says EDIT MODE in the lower left corner. (Use [F2] to toggle between Add and Edit mode.)
- Type part of the inventory part number and press [F5] or [F6] to scroll through the list until the inventory item you want to delete is displayed on the screen. You can also type the entire inventory part number and press [Enter].
- To receive the OK TO DELETE message, press [F9].
- To receive the following message: This will delete all locations and history. OK to continue?, type Y.
- To delete the inventory item, type Y.
