Examples of Video Splitters

Solutions
If the store is using two monitors from one thin clients, they use a video splitter to split the video display. Power surges or other power issues can cause the thin client or splitter to no longer detect that a monitor is attached.
- Unplug the monitor cable from the video splitter.
- Plug only one monitor cable into the thin client. Ensure the cable from the back of the monitor goes directly to the back of the thin client.
- Reboot the thin client and log back in.
- Disconnect the monitor and reconnect the video splitter.
If the monitor doesn’t display a video image while being the only monitor plugged into the thin client, swap the thin client with another, known-working thin client.
- Unplug the non-working thin client from the keyboard, mouse, power, Ethernet cable, and any other cables.
- Move the non-working thin client to a shop bay with a known-working thin client.
- Unplug the working thin client and plug in the non-working thin client in the known-working shop bay.
- Plug the known-working thin client and plug it into the non-working shop bay.
- Power on both thin clients.
- Does the issue follow the thin client or stay isolated in the non-working bay location?
- If the issue persists in the non-working shop bay, something is incorrect with the network cable, monitor cable(s), adapters, or power.
- If the issue follows the thin client, it may need to be replaced. Contact ISI Support for further troubleshooting and recommendations.
