DB2 Database Migration:
Much of the 15.9 release cycle has been focused on coding LubeSoft to utilize the DB2 database. This is a large infrastructure change for the software, and it provides necessary and improved connectivity for ISI’s ongoing development of mobile and desktop graphical interfaces.
The 15.9 update will not automatically migrate your LubeSoft data to DB2. LubeSoft will continue to support both the current and DB2 databases while ISI manages a gradual migration of stores to DB2. Eventually all stores will be required to utilize DB2 in order to continue receiving software updates. ISI will communicate with more detail on this timeline prior to beginning the migration.
