Occasionally, a problem occurs with the data files, for example, when you have to kill a process, or when the computer locks up. The options on the Inventory File Utilities Menu allow you to clean up files that have been affected by a problem. You know a problem exists when data appears to be missing, or an error message suggests you need to do file maintenance.
Use the following steps to access the Inventory File Utilities Menu:

| Reindex Other History Files | Reindexes inventory basic options, categories, service codes and locations. |
| Automatic .BAD File Cleanup | This cleanup option is occasionally required to correct corrupted files that have duplicate data. |
| Fix LIFO/FIFO File | This option cleans up the LIFO/FIFO file so it matches the inventory setup files. |
